As Benjy Sarlin & Evan McMorris Santoro first pointed out over at TPM, Newt Gingrich must have been using his skills as a fiction writer on Super Tuesday, during his victory party in Georgia.

Gingrich was attempting to smear President Obama (no surprise), when he attempted to attack President Obama on the issue of gas prices. Newt said Mr. Obama was worried about gas prices, because it would make it harder for Obama to be re-elected: 

Except, that's not what the President actually said.

Looks like it's pretty easy to see which person had a "Pants on Fire" problem, on the subject of gas prices.
