If you were holding a Congressional hearing on contraception and religion, you might think you'd want some women to participate and testify. After all, women make up more than half the American population.

Of course, you're probably not an extremist Republican, like California Rep. Darrell Issa, who banned a woman from testifying on contraception and religion.

Here's the picture of the panel Issa wanted to hear from on contraception and religion:

As Rep. Nancy Pelosi said about the farce of a hearing: “Imagine having a panel on women’s health and they don’t have any women on the panel,” she told reporters Thursday. “Duh.”

Watch as Representatives Carolyn Maloney, Eleanor Holmes Norton, and Elijah Cummings try to defend the rights of women - and are shut down by the Republicans.

When the Democratic Representatives couldn't get a woman on the panel, the Democrats walked out of the hearing. Read the full story about the hearing HERE.
