Professional wrestling has introduced a Tea Party character... and it’s a bad guy! The evil Tea Party character is named Jack Swagger. I guess that’s because “Rand Paul” was already taken. Tea Party people are all up in arms. The only surprising thing is that any of them figured out they were being made fun of. This is a marriage made in heaven. Professional wrestling is totally fake... and so is the Tea Party.

Joe Biden has some advice for people who want to own an assault rifle—buy a shotgun. I guess it’s kind of like if you’re trying to lose weight, they tell you to snack on baby carrots. Biden said “If you want to protect yourself get a double barrel shotgun. You don’t need an AR-15.” In fact, you don’t need an AR-15 to fight off an attacker. You only need an AR-15 if you are an attacker.

Dr. Drew Pinsky said that country star Mindy McCready’s suicide was made more likely because her boyfriend had been a “firearms enthusiast.” They both evidently shot themselves to death—somehow “enthusiast” seems to be an ill-chosen term. I don’t know what it is that drives a person to shoot themselves to death, but I don’t think it has anything to do with “enthusiasm.”

By the way, Mindy McCready is the 5th person to die who had been on Dr. Drew’s show “Celebrity Rehab.” We all knew there wasn’t much “celebrity” in “Celebrity Rehab.” It turns out there wasn’t much rehab either. It turns out that one of the biggest warning signs that you have a habit that could kill you is if Dr. Drew’s cameras follow you everywhere... and your roommate is the drummer from Guns ‘n’ Roses.

A for-profit prison company has bought the naming rights to the football stadium at Florida Atlantic University. It’s bad enough that we have for-profit prisons, but it’s worse to know that they’re making enough to sponsor stadiums! Why would a for-profit prison company even care about advertising? Aren’t all of their clients involuntary anyway?
