Mitt Romney really doesn’t want to talk about taxes – whether they be his own taxes or the ones he wants to raise on the middle class. In his most shameless, desperate, dishonest move yet to change the subject, Romney plays the race card with a 2012 version of the infamous ‘welfare queen’. Romney’s new ad accuses President Obama of gutting the work requirement from the Clinton-era welfare reform. Never mind that exact opposite is true, Bill Clinton has come out against the ad, and GOP governors asked for the changes - including Gov. Romney himself. You know you’re in trouble when people can’t stop calling you liar long enough to even consider if you’re also a racist.
Meanwhile, a pro-Obama superPAC is raising eyebrows with a new ad that critics say suggests Bain Capital layoffs led to the death of a former employee’s wife after he lost his health care. Ouch. But while Mitt Romney didn’t personally kill this poor woman, what is his plan for families who lose their health care when they lose their jobs? Oh, that’s right, Romney’s plan is to repeal ObamaCare. After all, if there’s one thing Americans without access to affordable health care don’t need, it’s access to affordable health care.
A new e-book says that President Obama has developed an intense personal dislike for Mitt Romney... like we needed further prove that Obama has good instincts. Everyone who ever faced Mitt Romney ended up hating him. And by “faced” I don’t mean people he ran against. I mean anyone who ever met him face-to-face.
And Louisiana’s scheme to private schools is giving literacy a bad name. With text books that teach that humans and dinosaurs and humans lived together, the KKK and slave masters were the good guys, and the human toll of Great Depression is just liberal propaganda, it’s hard to tell if this is an education system or just a secret Rupert Murdoch farm league developing the next generation of Fox News viewers.
